A Modern American Patriot – Judge Andrew Napolitano
If there is any doubt that the upcoming election is the most important of our lifetime and maybe in the history of the United States of America; if there is any doubt that our liberty is being stolen from us by a runaway, omnipotent and overbearing Federal Government at an alarming pace; if there is any question that the U.S. is headed in the wrong … horribly wrong direction, then the person doubting is either uninformed, ignorant or supports the notion of government command and control over every aspect of our daily lives – in direct contravention of the ideals this nation was founded on.
We contend that we have already gone so far down the road to serfdom that it has become critical for Americans to wake up, get informed and get involved. We believe it is essential that the giant power grab underway by Washington D.C. be stopped now, de-funded and reversed now.
The talk just below is by a modern American patriot, a former judge and articulate spokesman for the ideals all Americans should hold dear and be prepared to fight to save. Judge Andrew Napolitano’s speech at the September 2009 Campaign for Liberty is, in our view, worthy of sharing. But it will likely be labeled “extremist” by the people now running our lives with impunity.
The most important quote in this series in our opinion: “The Federal Government was created by the states, not the other way around. Power given to the Federal government by the states can be taken back.” (In Part 2)
Perhaps the most important of the five segments is Part 3, in which Judge Napolitano describes the insidious overreach the George W. Bush administration bestowed upon the Department of Homeland Security following September 11, 2001 and then turns to the idiocy of having the Federal Government regulating healthcare. Parts 4 and 5 are the Q & A after the talk, but in our opinion as worthy as the speech itself. In particular the part about President Obama railing against the Patriot Act prior to its passage in 2003, but then (in 2009) arguing that the powers under the P.A. should be continued under his presidency. Power corrupts and absolute power…
Do not underestimate the power of assembly and the power of peaceable protest if the government believes the people involved are strongly and unbendingly committed to the cause.
