TLR Volume Candle Chart

Update 1:  Adds 2-minute volume candle chart from September 4 for comparison. 

We are using this forum to post a volume candle chart of the curious trading in shares of Timberline Resources on August 27.  The chart is self explanatory. 

 

Question:  Who waits until 15:50:40 to make a large trade on a thinly traded stock? 

Answer:  Probably not a legitimate trader, but someone trading for effect might try to paint the tape.  The question is why?  Who cares? 

Essentially half the volume for TLR traded in the final 10 minutes of trading. 

Note the relatively tiny volume of the last three minutes of trading (circles). 

Curious trading if nothing else.  We will be interested to see how it reacts over the next little while absent news. 

Below is a 2-minute tick chart for comparison.   Volume candle charts show the relative size of the periods with large (wider) candles and volume bars.

With volume so low just one seller (or buyer) can move the stock with surprisingly few shares.
